We are born to tell stories.

From the moment we learn to speak, we tell stories—to make sense of the world, to find our place in it, and to feel connected to each other. Storytelling is one of the oldest human traditions, a thread that weaves through every culture, every childhood, every heart.

And in today’s fast-paced world, stories are more important than ever.

They nourish the soul.
They awaken the imagination.
They help us remember what matters.

Our vision is to bring people back to the ancient practice of storytelling —through immersive, mindful experiences in the natural world.

What is Restorative Storytelling™

Restorative Storytelling™ is an intuitive, intentional approach to storytelling and story-listening created by David Sewell McCann (How to Story and Sparkle Stories). It was developed to restore connection, calm, and wholeness—within individuals, relationships, and communities.

Whether shared aloud under a tree, held in silence during a walk, or woven into a child’s daily rhythm, the stories that emerge from this process invite listeners to slow down, listen deeply, and remember their belonging.

This method blends the power of narrative with nature-based mindfulness and therapeutic play—creating space for healing, growth, and transformation.

Storytelling + Nature = Deep Connection

Imagine for a moment: A gentle breeze rustles through the trees; silver fairy rings of lichen uncover a forgotten path. Somewhere, hidden in the forest, a story begins to unfold. These moments are where wonder lives.

Nature is made of stories. We listen, we share, we remember. And slowly, we begin to feel a part of it all again.

In a time of disconnection, climate anxiety, and overstimulation, storytelling in nature offers something rare: stillness, connection, and hope.

Our work helps children feel rooted and safe, educators feel inspired and resourced, and adults rediscover their voice and sense of belonging.

This isn’t just storytelling. It’s a homecoming. A gentle, powerful way to reconnect—with the land, ourselves, and each other.
